Tucson Criminal Defense & DUI Attorney
Amanda Bynum is the founder of AJB Law Firm, LLC, where she is dedicated to defending individuals facing criminal charges in Tucson and throughout Pima County.
With 15 years of experience in the courtroom, Amanda has built a reputation for aggressive advocacy, meticulous case preparation, and an unwavering commitment to protecting her clients’ rights.
Amanda’s practice centers on Criminal Defense and DUI Defense, from misdemeanor charges to complex felony cases. She has successfully handled hundreds of DUI cases—both alcohol and drug-related—achieving dismissals, acquittals, and favorable plea agreements for her clients. Her deep knowledge of Arizona DUI law, combined with her trial skills and negotiation expertise, allows her to challenge the prosecution’s case at every stage, from questioning the legality of traffic stops to dissecting forensic evidence.
Her work extends to all areas of criminal defense, including domestic violence, assault, theft, drug offenses, and probation violations. Amanda understands that being accused of a crime is often the most stressful experience a person can face. She takes the time to explain the process in plain language, answer questions, and develop a defense strategy tailored to each client’s goals.
Before founding AJB Law Firm, Amanda served as a public defender, a DUI defense associate in private practice, and later as a law professor and administrator, where she taught trial advocacy, workplace skills, and professional competencies. This unique combination of courtroom experience and legal education gives her the ability to present clear, persuasive arguments to judges and juries while ensuring her clients are informed and empowered throughout their cases.
Amanda has been trained by the National College for DUI Defense, is a former member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She previously served on the Board of Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice, reflecting her commitment to defending constitutional rights and advancing the practice of criminal defense in Arizona.
Whether you are facing your first misdemeanor or a serious felony, Amanda brings the same level of skill, preparation, and determination to every case she takes. At AJB Law Firm, you are not just another case file—you are a person whose future matters.
